Update on Jaxson!

We want to update everyone on Jaxson and thank you for your love and concern. For those of you who don’t know, he has spent a few days in Neonatal ICU. He had a little trouble breathing and showed signs of an infection the night after his delivery. When they x-rayed his lungs to check them, they discovered that he had a broken collar bone. The doctor is puzzled as to why because delivery was not traumatic but He is doing much better now. He is breathing normally and is off oxygen and starting to cry more. He is also more alert and is eating better. The tests for infection are coming back negative today and his temperature is normal. If he tests normal tomorrow (Tuesday), he will be able to come home. He still has his little broken wing, but it doesn’t seem to pain him much. We will have to be careful with it for about six weeks and his collar bone will heal itself.

Thank you for your concern, phone calls, visits, and prayers. He received a blessing from his dad and grandpas to help him. He is cute as a button and looks like a little Mendenhall. We can hardly wait to get him home.
