The Birthday celebration started on Saturday April 9th with the coldest party of the year. It came really close to raining but everyone we invited still showed up and we had a great time! All the kids explored the play ground and all the adults visited and tried to stay warm. My good friend Diana made the treats! Cupcakes and Cake Pops!!! Yummy!! Thank you to her for all her hard work! Jaxson received lots of cool presents and he is so excited to have new toys to play with at home. Thanks also to Grumpy, Grandpa Mendenhall (Sterling's Dad) for taking all the pictures.
Then on Sunday we all went to the hospital to have dinner with Pa Pa. We wheeled him out of his room and into the family waiting room. It was a nice but unconventional Sunday Family Dinner but he really enjoyed the visit and the change in scenery. Ady and Jono are not pictured but were also there.
Then came Monday, April 11, Jaxson's actuall day of birth. Sterling and I have wanted to get annual passes to SeaWorld. They have a deal going that if you buy a day you get the rest of the year free. So we were suckers! Jaxson really enjoyed seeing all the animals. All except the Sea Lions, they were loud and scary to him. He was ok with them as long as there was a large piece of glass between him and the sea lions. Jaxson's friend, Gibson and his mom Joselyn, joined us for the second half of the day and they are so cute together. After the long day at SeaWorld we met Joselyn's husband, Ryan, for dinner at BJ's in La Jolla. After dinner both boys got ice creams with candles for their birthdays! They are 6 weeks apart.
We love Jaxson! He is growing so fast and is so fun to have around!
His 2 year stats are
36.5in tall
(97%)
31 lbs 6 oz
