22 Weeks

So here is what is going on with the baby boy at 22 weeks. I can not believe I am already 5 1/2 months along. Wow pregnancy is creeping past me.

"At 11 inches and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily."

And now here is what I look like now.....

Yep that's right a real baby bump. Boy is he kicking me more often. He is being nice right now, at least that's what I think when I hear stories from my friends who are farther along then me. My mom has felt him kick but when ever Sterling puts his hand on my tummy he is shy. Maybe Sterling is the Baby Whisperer. I am still feeling really good. A few aches, pains, and discomforts that simply come with being with child but nothing to complain about. I saw my doctor the other day and she was actually proud of my weight gain, or lack there of I guess. She congratulated me and told me to keep up the good work. I was sure proud!!!

We are really enjoying the rain here. (But the drivers sure suck!) The rain has been much needed and I thoroughly enjoy the sound of it and the smell of it. My clients are not too thrilled with it when they have to walk out to their cars with their perfectly coiffed hair as the rain comes pouring down. This is the little season change California receives every year and I enjoy every minute of it. Sam, the family cat, loves to curl up in front of the fire when it is lit and this weather gives us an excuse to enjoy the fire place. I love the hot chocolate and the snugly blankets and the warm PJ's.

Hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season! Hope you have enough time to get all your Christmas shopping done in time. Hope you remember why we really celebrate Christmas, the Savior's Birthday. Hope all is well with everyone and we keep everyone in our prayers!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
